Blog Talk Radio: Feminism, Jonah Goldberg and Moi

Listen to internet radio with Paul Couturier on Blog Talk Radio

I was happy to guest on my friend, Paul Courtier’s Blog Talk Radio show – “Independently Correct Radio”. The topic tonight was Feminism – a favorite topic of mine. Paul quoted a recent article by Jonah Goldberg entitled ‘Taking Feminism Overseas

I agreed with most of Jonah’s article except for the idea of important American feminism overseas. Oh hell no! We have a bastardized form of feminism that will only hurt women who are in dire trouble simply because they are women.

Check out the 30 minute interview, some good stuff was discussed. Due to technical difficulties with my Skype headset I chimed in 15 minutes into the conversation.

Why didn’t you include the phone number so I could call in and heckle you again?

Oklahoma has it’s first woman Governor, Mary Fallin. The democrat candidate was Jeri Askins, also a woman. We would have our first woman Gov. no matter who won.

There ARE differences between men and women. God made us this way. Men have upper body strength, stamina, the ability to think spatially, but can only REALLY concentrate on one thing at a time. God made man to be the provider, and we need those skills to hunt.

Women are more nuturing, can multitask better, and can actually be more cold-blooded and cruel than a man. God made women to be the care-giver, and those are skills that are necessary for raising children. The cold-bloodedness is VERY necessary for protecting the children.

To me, true feminism is “equal pay for equal work, and equal opportunity for jobs”.
Madam Curie won a Nobel Prize (back when that really meant something) by using her God-given abilities as a chemist. Not by whining, griping and complaining.
