Must be how the Dems feel today:
Like the US Dollar, has the value of the White House fallen so greatly that a television series can preempt the State of The Union address?
Attend a screening of the premier of “Not Evil Just Wrong“ tonight!
This is the movie that gives Al Gore and his supporters angina. Anne McElhinney and Phelim McAleer paint a human face on the cold reality of government mandated ‘climate change’ (aka Global Warming) policies. The film delves into the misinformation campaign against DDT and the global warming hysteria that is being fed to schoolchildren.
Sorry, Virginia, the Polar Bears and NOT dying..they are thriving!

BREAKING NEWS: Andrew Breitbart announces his new project at the post premier Q&A: Big Environment. This new venture will be headed up by Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer. This is going to get good folks!
Just a few bits of news to ponder on this chilly Friday evening:
The Baucus Bill – bloated with rank dishonesty and very little health care. Click HERE to listen to House Republican Conference Vice Chair, Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Congressman John Shadegg to give an update about the health care reform proposals before Congress. Photos by yours truly.
WH Communication director, Anita Dunn, displays her oral fixation of the bloody dictator, Mao Tse-sung.
An excerpt of the NRO essay on energy independence and related environmental issues authored by Sarah Palin
Those who oppose domestic drilling are motivated primarily by environmental considerations, but many of the countries we’re forced to import from have few if any environmental-protection laws, and those that do exist often go unenforced. In effect, American environmentalists are preventing responsible development here at home while supporting irresponsible development overseas.
MI-5 Chief, Johnathan Evans, defends the use of enhanced interrogation techniques – apparently it works:
Now, eight years on, we have a better understanding of the nature and scope of al Qaida’s capabilities but we did not have that understanding in the period immediately after 9/11,”
V: The Series is coming back to the small screen on November 3rd. I’m sure you all remember the series first aired in 1984 and featured lizard-like aliens that disguised themselves as human who offered peace, but secretly plotted the subjection of all humanity to their will? No? Okay, the re-imagined version is apparently being ’softened’ – as reported by Tom Jicha:
The teasers running on ABC offer a hint of this. “They gave us hope. We gave them our trust.” Who does that bring to mind? Of course, the Visitors (hence the title), after promising things like universal health care and peace in a one world government, turn out to be totally evil. They attempt to seize control of the media, favoring those who don’t challenge them or ask probing questions about their real agenda, which turns out to be the annihilation of humanity. The heroes are everyday people, who form a grass roots resistance movement. Supposedly, the show is being slightly re-conceptualized to soften or remove events some might interpret as negative parallels to today.
Ohhh…I’ve got a new sci -fi show to blog about!
I’m not a fan of football – sorry – it’s like watching grass grow. Oh, wait, that’s baseball. Nevermind.
As entertaining as it is to watch the MSM regurgitate unsubstantiated statements attributed to Rush Limbaugh regarding his bid to purchase the Rams (who are on a collision course with last place, mind you), it is more important to see how they really feel about diverse opinions. Politics and football are badly matched, and the libs in the MSM are making it worse for themselves.
My blogging buddy, Doug, over at Stix Blog had this to say on the issue:
… if Dave Checketts and Rush Limbaugh can bring the team from the depths of the NFL worst team, then by all means I say go ahead. Hell, if ALGore, Michael Moore, and Ted Turner wanted to buy the team and make the team a winning team again, I would be all for it.
Will Rush be making the team all hail Conservatism on the field???? Will the Rams games be broadcasting Rush over the jumbo tron forcing his politics onto the fans of the games????
Good Lord people, grow up. This is not about politics or Rush, this is about putting a competing team on the field every week.

Rio 2016 Olympics
Apparently Obama is more celebrity than a closer.
Congratulations to Rio de Janeiro and their winning bid to host the
2016 Summer Olympics.
@Lagwolf – Now that the pop star with dubious sexual proclivities has been buried can we get on with real issues like Iran, Honduras & NK?
Best video on the death of MJ:
Can we now move on?
My how time flies…this week is the 25th anniversary of the release of the classic summer blockbuster – The Karate Kid.
And who can forget the timeless summer tune – Cruel Summer – that highlighted the movie and saturated the airwaves. As much as I love the song, I will not touch the Bananrama video, some things are better left in the 80’s, instead I present an updated version of ‘Cruel Summer’ performed by Ace of Base:
Skye’s Score: Magical adaptation!
Directed By: Micheal Hoffman
Starring: Michelle Pfeiffer, Calista Flockhart, Rupert Everett, Kevin Kline, Stanley Tucci as Puck.
The modern film cleverly combines Elizabethan dialogue with actors in mid 19th century clothing and set in a picturesque Tuscan country villa. Somehow, this oddball combination works and I can’t recall this story in any other fashion. Who knows maybe it is the Midsummer magic weaving its spell, this movie has not dimmed over the years of viewing it. It is a great way to re introduce yourself to the Bard – the greatest storyteller ever.
