October is my absolute favorite month of the year. I savor every day of the month. It is just the perfect time of year – can’t get enough of it!

This time of year I get the overwhelming urge to grab a rifle and head for the woods. While this area is overrun with deer (Earlier this week I saw a car in front of me hit one. I stopped to make sure they were alright. The man said it was a loner car. Theirs was in the shop getting repaired due to a, you guessed it, deer strike!) it’s also overrun with other residents. So I need to practice with one of my bows. I could, really, sit near one of the back windows of my house in my comfortable chair with my bow in my lap and scatter some deer corn in my backyard and just wait for one to come up.
