Godspeed STS-135

A bittersweet day in many ways:

The final US space shuttle (Atlantis) carrying the crew of  STS – 135 launched today. With the conclusion of this mission the book on United States space exploration shall be permanently closed.

It is understood NASA will retreat from its primary mission of space exploration and turn its attention to moslem outreach projects .  Other nations shall continue to pursue a greater understanding of our galaxy through actual space exploration. Just imagine what could have been.

I was saddened to read today of the passing of Betty Ford, wife of former president Gerald Ford and founder of the Betty Ford Center for Addiction and Substance Abuse. May she rest in peace.

Sad. The worst part about it is no one is making us stop – we are doing it to ourselves.

So now NASA is making muslims feel good and begging Russians for rides.

So much for “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
