Conservative Female Activist Assaulted by Union Thug
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” – Barack Obama
Sometimes it’s necessary to get out on the streets and “get a little bloody,” – Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.)
Tabitha Hale, a tea party activist, blogger and FreedomWorks employee was assaulted outside Freedomworks office by angry pro union thug. Tabitha was videotaping an exchange between a coworker and a member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) when she was attacked. As the debate began to disintegrate for the angry thug and he took out his frustrations with physical violence against Tabitha, not the man he was debating.
She has posted the video of the assault – see for yourself the violent nature of union members:
Tabitha reports that she was not seriously injured in this brazen attack on her person. It is unclear at this time if charges have been filed against her assailant.
This is not the first time a female blogger has been physically assaulted by a left leaning, anti-war, union sympathizer. Sadly, it will not be the last, these punks tend to assault those they deem weaker then themselves.
The truth is, conservative women do fight back and win against such aggression.
In March 2008, John Meicht a member of the Chester County Peace Movement, assaulted a female blogger/activist (that would be me) as I videotaped a heated argument between himself and Dee Berk, a member of the American Sheepdogs. The following video tape documents the heated debate and the first assault on me. His first blow was strong enough to knock the camera towards my face, knocking the camera setting to the off position. Luckily, I am decades younger than my assailant and have fast reflexes. He struck me again until his supporters pulled him away. When the police arrived minutes later; he attempted to assault the police officer responding and was subsequently arrested. I pressed charges that day against John Meicht and blogged about the incident.
The following Saturday, I was back documenting the weekly rally/counter rally in West Chester. The looks I received from members of the Chester County Peace Movement(CCPM) that Saturday were down right murderous. In the months following, the CCPM launched a failed smear campaign against me, including a letter to the editor of the Daily Local News which pinpointed the section of Philly where I reside. As a victim of an assault, this was worrisome. Printing this information publicly gives an assailant’s supporters easier access to a victim.
I find the two videos chillingly similar. My thoughts are with Tabitha tonight. What happened to her is absolutely unsupportable. Tabitha is a beautiful woman, inside and out, and I know she has great support system to help her through this event.
Sadly, I believe it won’t be the last.
