One Nation Fail – A Photo Essay of the Rally

Some observations from my foray into the One Nation Rally at the Lincoln Memorial:

Manufactured t-shirts plus manufactured signs with a dash of  class warfare equals Astroturf.

The boxed lunch was a dead giveaway for this Union organized astroturf event/rally.

Free Boxed Lunch

There seems to be a slight change in the Anti-war message this year. It’s now ‘Bring war $$$ home’, which is more in line with the fiscal theme of this election cycle. Proving once again that the military is simply an expedient political tool for marxists and Democrats that is used when needed and discarded when no longer effective:

Bring Dollars Home!

A recurring message being broadcast at the rally was capitalism is  icky and evil:

Unless, of course, a few tables down you are trying to peddle your collective wares:

or raising funds for a boat to Gaza:

However, there was common agreement that religion,  Tea Party movement and Beck were  horrible nightmares that should be banished from this earth – or something to that effect:

obligatory hatin’ on the Tea Party:

Bush Bashing:

Beck Bashing:

The message discipline of this rally was not recognizable due to every liberal grievance being publicly aired at this rally. Several themes did emerge from all the static and they centered around ‘Obama we luv you!’, ‘ Tea Party People Suck’, and the ‘rich will pay for everything we believe we are entitled to receive’.

Then there was this..uhm..dude who was in his own happy THC fueled world:

THC Dude

This rally was nothing more than a mass group hug of various unions of perpetual victimhood. Every speaker offered no path to self reliance for these people only reinforcing that belief that all their concerns will be solved by unions and government oversight. The rally was a feast of fear mongering and scapegoating of the usual suspects. Every societal ill was blamed on something or someone else, namely republicans or the Tea Party. The rally attendees were bused in, handed a tshirt, a sign and a free boxed lunch seemed to accept the idea that everything should be given to them without any work or sacrifice on their part. They seem content with whatever is handed to them from big unions or big government. How the hell do you get them to see there is far more to life than being led by the nose by big anything? How do you break that mental paradigm? I thought I’d have a great laugh at the attendees of this rally, but I found myself increasingly saddened as I realized these people were terrified of the potential within them selves.  Good thing, I guess, their political party is facing a tsunami this November. Maybe it will be a wake up call, or am I just too damned optimistic?

One final thought – they are a messy lot of people:

Excellent portrayal of the haters who I am sure have no idea of the powerful monuments they were amongst or what they mean. They sure as hell don’t know what America means. Having been there 8/28 I know we left behind nothing but our appreciation of history & our founders, they left behind tons of trash, kinda represents what kind of people they are.
Thank You so much for braving the mob.

How many of those manufactured signs and shirts and boxed lunches went into landfills, thus, increasing pollution and carbon emissions, because there weren’t enough looney leftwing liberals riding those carbon-spewing busses up there?

And, how many “undocumented aliens” were paid a couple bucks to pick up all the trash left on the ground?

Notice it’s “One nation working together” not “One nation under GOD!”

Another communist rally in DC…who would have thought?

Wow, you can tell these people were really pumped up and passionate about some serious political issues, when they waited for someone else to drive them in on buses, then waited for someone to give them a shirt and sign telling them what they were upset about (insert sarcasm here).

Then, of course, they dropped their garbage on the ground and expected to be cleaned up after once getting back on the bus, as well.

You know I think its great when people get involved even if they are on the other side of the fence from me . That said I think very few of these people are actually involved and here is why I love to talk to people and I do so as much as I can. Ok to be totally honest I love to debate and argue nothing gives me more pleasure than to lay the smackdown on a so called liberal I say so called because very few are actually liberals because they really have no opinions or thoughts of their own example I most people I have spoken to have no idea what socialism really is they just know the love Obama and are told its wrong to say he is a socialist but can’t say why
Just like durning the election when I asked people why they support Obama the answer was always “duhhhh change” I would respond ” ok change what?” and the answer was “duhhh change”
That is what makes the tea parties so great because they are growing stronger as more and more of us really start paying attention I am willing to bet that if most of the people at the one nation rally actually paid attention they would have been chanting for Beck to come and speak
Look we cannot get cocky but if we stick to our guns and do the right thing we still can get control back from those who want to destroy our country
Keep up the great work Tania !

Great photos! Looks like you saw the same “green jobs” sign with the sickle and hammer on the 5 that I saw. I went down there for a bit and the difference between Tea Parties/8/28 rally and this was day and night. Not to mention the trash.
