Senator Robert Byrd, Democrat and Klansman – Dead at 92
Democrat Senator Robert Byrd, recruiter for the Klu Klux Klan and obstructionist to the groundbreaking 1964 Civil Rights Act has died.
Who in the Democrat party will step up and don the sheets lately donned by the deceased Senator?
I’m not saddened or shocked by his passing. Good riddance – it’s past time to step away, as a nation, from such racially divisive connections.

he was a klansman in his youth. but he became a great advocate of civil rights as a senator and apologized for not voting for the first civil rights act and publicly said he was wrong. he also became a great champion for animal rights. he was one of the few senators to vote against the invasion of iraq, and was endorsed barack obama for president early on in the process. your pic is shopped and misleading. he was a great senator on balance. we need more like him. he will be missed.
Dem’s love Robert ” Grand Kleagle” Byrd, claiming he left his racist views behind.
But, those same dem’s castigated Trent Lott for praising Strom Thurmond. Neither of
those guys EVER belonged to the KKK. But, dems still called them “racists” for views
they once held in the past.
I hope Robert Byrd was forgiven for his sins and has gone to Heaven. I really do.
The Bible says: 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
But, he still has much to answer for at the Judgement Seat.

What’s interesting is that a majority of Republicans and Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act of 64. However, the Republicans voted overwhelmingly against the Civil Rights act of 1990 that made tougher rescrictions on employment law among other things. Your frinds Strom and Trent were leading the pack.
