A Message from the Convention Floor
Tuesday, September 02, 2008 12:22am 64 viewsA quick read of her biography reveals a woman who is highly educated, involved in her community and tireless grassroots supporter. Her life is one of service to Samoa, her family and the world. She is a role model for women worldwide.
In the spacious lobby of the Union Depot, I sat down with Amata and chatted with her regarding Sarah Palin, her daughter and the highly anticipated debate between Palin and Biden. She described McCain’s choice of Palin as “She is it! Palin brings brings excitement and energy to the RNC. She is the perfect person for the job”. She will not only make a good VP, it will be working practice for President Palin. She is a good balance to McCain, and both are committed to shaking up Washington.
I quite agree.
When I broached the subject of the daughter’s pregnancy, Amata stated as a mother you bring you children close. She agreed that this is a family issue and not for public consumption. She believed that Palin handled this family issue quite well. When asked if this news had in any way changed the opinion of the delegates, Amata stated that this private family matter will not effect the ticket of McCain/Palin. She further described a meeting she attended with evangelicals and reported that they are even more committed to Palin. With her demonstrated respect for life, she represents the ideals of evangelicals nationwide.
I asked Amata about the upcoming debate(s) between Palin and Biden, her response was classic – “She will mop the floor with Biden”. Biden is representative of the old boy entrenched establishment in DC, Palin is new energy. I anticipate the debate will be interesting and illuminating.

Go Sarah! I have been watching her for two months- and hoping that she’d get picked. When I didn’t ever see her in any of the online polls, I was concerned she would be overlooked, but that John McCain was a very clever guy! Hope you are enjoying your time at the convention, and that it gets started in earnest now that Katrina the second, is fizzling out!
Can’t wait for the reports!
By the way, that was me – don’t know why it came up anonymous… Trish
WOW, Sarah Palin is just what the DC Beltway needs!!
Sarah needs to teach her kids how to keep their own beltways fastened.
Someone should teach anonymous to mind his manners!
Said to tell you Trish but teaching manners was relegated to the trash bin sometime in the late 60’s and you learned them from your parents and teachers in my day.
Mike
The other anon, not you, Trish, obviously is a moonbat, as is typical of their hypocritical standards. They want to encourage children to have sex at earlier and earlier ages, they want access to younger generations of possible abortions, and yet when a young girl gets pregnant, they are crude, ignorant and mean to her. I thought they were the people of compassion and humanity? Is that another ethic that only applies when they are being self-righteous, but quickly forgotten when they want to use it as a sword?
I wonder what anon’s kids are like. It is not that anon’s or the other moonbats’ kids keep their beltways fastened, they are put on the pill or other form of birth control so the parent can act self-righteous against those girls who get pregnant, act as though their daughters are paragons of virtue. Their daughters are having more sex with more partners, trust that. For instance, Paris, Brittany, Madonna, should I go on.
We have a winner in Palin, and the moonbats know it and they are righteously scared. What do they do when they are scared? Run away…which I doubt they will do in this case, but the second thing is implode. They were doing a great job before Sarah happened…now really watch the screwups. Two egotistical, narcissistic, self-bloated, windbags who are typical libtards in that they think everybody sees them as they do. Haaa.
I keep hearing McCain’s mom when she was interviewed, and her statement that I loved was when she said, “John has the integrity to do the job.” I remember this so much b/c I often refer to Kerry talking about his mom, and when he told her that he wanted to run for president, her response to Kerry was, “Remember, John, integrity, integrity, integrity.” I remember thinking that it was odd that she had to remind him of something that fundamental or inherent in a person. I remember saying that if that was my son I would tell him that his integrity would stand him in good stead, or something like McCain’s mom said, but not to remind him to have it or use it. Obviously, she knew him best, don’t all moms.
anonymous just isn’t getting any, LOSER!!
