Hydroponic gardening has been around since the days of the hanging gardens of Babylon. Today, techniques for growing in a soil-less environment allows anyone to create an indoor garden with relative ease. The Aerogarden is specifically designed indoor ‘smart garden’. A microprocessor automatically adjusts nutrient delivery, light cycles, and water flow for fast growing, nutrient packed edible gardens.
Set up took only a few minutes and I was ready to add the included Gourmet Herb seed packs:
Mint, Italian Basil, Dill, Thyme, Parsley, Purple Basil, and Chives.
With the seed packs installed and two nutrient tabs added to the tap water in the basin, I plugged in the power cord and started growing some gourmet herbs. Below is an informative video on the ease and benefits of hydroponic gardening:
You can find more information about hydroponic gardening and the Aerogarden on their website HERE. Rainy Day Magazineblog has an excellent post on the Aerogarden, where the set up and progress of plant growth is recorded. Click here for more Aerogarden goodness
Our President, George Bush will give his State of The Union address in, oh, seven minutes by my time clock. I am looking forward to live-ish blogging this Address. I’ll post the entire Address when it becomes available.
The secret of our strength, the miracle of America, is that our greatness lies not in our Government, but in the spirit and determination of our people. When the Federal Convention met in Philadelphia in 1787, our Nation was bound by the Articles of Confederation, which began with the words, “We the undersigned delegates.” When Gouverneur Morris was asked to draft the preamble to our new Constitution, he offered an important revision and opened with words that changed the course of our Nation and the history of the world: “We the people.”
“He told me he initially miscalculated… President Bush’s intentions. He thought the United States would retaliate with the same type of attack as we did in 1998…a four-day aerial attack,” says Piro. “He survived that one and he was willing to accept that type of attack.” “He didn’t believe the U.S. would invade?” asks Pelley, “No, not initially,” answers Piro.
He also intended and had the wherewithal to restart the weapons program. “Saddam] still had the engineers. The folks that he needed to reconstitute his program are still there,” says Piro. “He wanted to pursue all of WMD…to reconstitute his entire WMD program.” This included chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, Piro says.
Saddam’s nuclear documents compel any reasonable person to the conclusion that, more probably than not, there were in fact nuclear WMD sites, components, and programs hidden inside Iraq at the time the Coalition forces invaded.
Yes, I am the “Un-Official Blogger” set to coverCPAC 2008. The conference will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC February 7th -9th. I look forward to moblogging the event as it occurs and chilling with a group of individuals who understand the meaning of the word ‘WE’.
On another front in this battle to save the US from radical islam appeasers, Pamela of Atlas Shugs, faced down a vicious group of anti semetic and anti American moonbats. Can someone tell my why all the women moonbats running peace protests resemble Lynne Stewart? They are not just running down America in West Chester, they are attacking NYC….again.
Pam has a great video of the day: See Pamela school the anti Israeli C.A.V.E. people.
The always bold and beautiful members of the Chester County Victory Movement! Three cheers for the Sheepdogs! Our good compatriot NeoCon has delivered yet again an astounding collection of photos – be shocked and awed -HERE
Another sweet day at the steps of the West Chester Courthouse, where patriots faced off against an aging lot of peace protesters. The rally included highlights of a winter soldier obfuscating and Grant denying all. The rally ended at the Iron Hill Brewery, where I was able to connect Grant with an Iraq Liberation veteran who was interested in setting a story straight.
Organized at Philadelphia April 20, 1861. Mustered in May 27, 1861 (a detachment attacked in streets of Baltimore April 19, 1861).

NeoCon captures the intrepid blogger behind MidnightBlue mugging for the camera :
I have to give props to the fabulously talented photographer and writer, Neocon, for the photo posted above. You can view more of his photos HERE. Another talented photographer and writer has posted photos of our rally HERE. I am ever inspired by these two remarkable individuals.
Our turnout was energized with guests from NYC joining our ranks for the day. Every time, no matter how frakking cold, our merry band shows up with positive energy, great signs and hilarious costumes. The 60′s shades and beret had me laughing, Bob! All of you deserve a round of applause for your consummate dedication and positive outlooks!
The uniform worn by this victory vigiler is an authentic replication of the Civil War Pennsylvania Regiment. He is holding a replica of the flag PA 27th regiment.
A typical scene above of pro victory vigilers standing peacefully alongside the opposition. This is the case 99.9% of the time at this rally. If it weren’t for John denying everything and anything, it would have been a typically unremarkable rally.
Had fun with the post processing of the photo above, it is was altered to resemble an albumin technique in photography that was popular during the time of the Civil War. Now that was a time of intrepid photography that revolutionized how conflict was documented and reported.
The poster above truly speaks for itself.
After our victory rally, we adjourned to Iron Hill for some good food, good conversation, and good beer. Who do we meet at the table next to us…our VFP friends. The denial game continued when I jokingly turned around and let them know my funding source was picking up their tab. The gentleman pictured above in the maroon sweater asked who was John Grant? I told him it was the gentleman sitting 4 seats away from him.
As the VFP left the restaurant, passing by our table, John channeled the underground weathermen by stating there was a bomb under our table.
And so goes another chapter in the saga that is the West Chester Rally. Till next time folks!
The FARC and ELN are not terrorist groups; they are armies, real armies that occupy a space in Colombia. We have to acknowledge the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces and the National Liberation Army. They are insurgent forces that have a Bolivarian and political project that is respected here.
FART favors child soldiers, planting landmines and holding hundreds of hostages for political leverage and ransom as part of its four-decade-old terrorism campaign.
Not surprising at all, FARC began as a Marxist-inspired peasant terrorist group in the 1960s, and is now labeled a drug-trafficking terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union.
I can see why John Grant’s best buddy Chavez adores these miscreants.
Another Chavez fearfully claims of assassination attempts, yet provided no proof of his parnoid ideation.
“In Bogota, there are American officials and Colombian military officials conspiring against Venezuela, conspiring to kill me, conspiring to start an armed conflict between Colombia and Venezuela,” Chavez said during a visit to Nicaragua.
Wow, I encountered an eerily similar allegation in a recent dispatch from John Grant, Veteran for Peace: ” I think it’s fair to say, the Victory Vigil gang has political endorsement or support from above or nationally and that vigils like the one in West Chester are targets”. Like his buddy Chavez, he has absolutely no proof of his paranoid ideation.
I look forward to publicly challenging John to produce his evidence or maybe I let them think I am funded…just to stoke the paranoia up a few notches with geriatric VFP membership.
Only in Philadelphia, a city that overwhelmingly voted for the failed DNC Presidential Nominee in 2004, would a prominent newspaper solicit questions from its readership to Al-Qaeda’s No.2, Ayman al-Zawahiri. Last month, the head terrorist announced that he would take questions from his fanbase. The Philadelphia Inquirer was quick to advertise this offer and to collect questions from its readership.
A month later, the Inquirer printed a selection of questions submitted by their readership to Zawahiri. Let us take a closer look at these questions. I hope to answer some on behalf of my homeboy, the Z-man.
The first question that caught my attention was submitted by Julianna Csongor:
Describe the world order you envision, as it relates to religion, social order, countries, if al-queda had the power to bring about change.
This is an easy one – it is called shar’ia, you can read all about your place in the coming worldwide caliphate at Dhimmitude and You
Charles Bauerlein from West Chester opines:
What political, economic and social changes should Americans consider making if they want to ‘get along’ with muslims?
Translation from liberalspeak:
What are the terms of surrender that you would prefer the US citizens to swallow?
The Z-man makes this point clear – and he gets irritable when he constantly has to repeat this to his homeboys in the US.
Zawahiri:“The Reinstatement Of Islamic Rule … Is The Individual Duty Of Every Muslim With Every Land Occupied By Infidels.” ZAWAHIRI: “Supporting the jihad in Palestine with one’s life, money, and opinion is the individual duty of every Muslim because Palestine was a land of Islam that was occupied by the infidels. This means that its liberation and the reinstatement of Islamic rule there is the individual duty of every Muslim as unanimously decided by the nation’s scholars. And such is the case with every land occupied by infidels.” (Al-Zawahiri’s June Video Message Supporting Palestinians, Posted On Jihadist Site, 6/11/06)
Reinforcing the Z-man’s statement is the Al-Queda Charter which states: “There Will Be Continuing Enmity Until Everyone Believes In Allah. We Will Not Meet [The Enemy] Halfway And There Will Be No Room For Dialogue With Them.”
Just accept Islam, America, and make the Z-man happy! The Z-man hears his brother’s struggle to champion bloody revolution in the name of social justice.
“How much better off would we all be if CEO’s were only permitted – by law – to earn only seven time what their lowest paid employees earned? Any attempt to dissuade such legislation will only quicken the bloody revolution that surely awaits us if we do not act soon.”
The Z-man might not be down with that – you don’t pay a wage to a kufir.
Next on the list is a question from Richmond L. Gardner – an individual that I happened to bump into a few weeks ago outside Congressman Sestak’s office.
Which political groups in America does al-queda feel closest to: the irreligious, disorganized liberals or the deeply religous, authoritarian conservatives?
Let’s consider the evidence:
Zawahiri stated that the Dems were not the ones who won the midterm elections: “The first is that you aren’t the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen — the Muslim Ummah’s vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq — are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost,” Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News.
Additionally, and al-queda group stated that the al-Qaida in Iraq leader also welcomed the Republican electoral defeat that led to the departure of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld. He added that the group’s fighters would not rest until they had blown up the White House.
Despite OBL’s increasing dissatisfaction with the Democrats and their not making a move worth mentioning, the Z-man still thinks you’re cool.
Frankly, the Z-man would prefer to spend his down time with his camels and his Mujahideen. However, If he has no other recourse, he would welcome the chance to spend some quality time with his fellow irreligious, disorganized liberal brothers before striking them down for rejecting allah – the all merciful.
However, The Z-man might look upon the kufir who posted this question with some favor after he catches this video:
Brian J. Cahill weighs in with the ubiquitous ‘Destroy the Bush Administration’ scenario:
Given that, on average, one-third to one-half of a population is not responsible for its leadership, why attack civilians rather than the decision makers?
He probably owns a ‘Peace Kills’ T-shirt – a Z-man favorite and I’m going out on a short branch here to guess that he votes Democrat. The Z-man sends props to his fans in Philly.
Courageous Question Award goes to Bill Dingfelder:
“Instead of killing innocent people, could you pressure editors not to pose inane questions such as “What would you ask al-Qaeda’s leadership?”
I agree with Bill on this one, but must say the Z-man would be most displeased with this question. “Kill Bill” does NOT refer to a movie at the Z-man’s crib.
Was this a fair representation of the good folk of Philadelphia? It certainly sends a message to global jihadi’s that Philadelphia is terrorist-friendly kind of town. This is not something that would do well on a bumper sticker or ad campaign for Philadelphia.
