Nestled on the link panel is a small script that track visitors to MidnightBlue. Statcounter is a great utility bloggers can use to track traffic patterns on their websites. On smart feature within Statcounter is called Recent Keyword Analysis. This function allows the user to see how the latest visitors to the website are using the Keyword searches to find your website. Essentially you can view the ‘keyword’ typed into a search engine (Google, etc) that lead the viewer to your site. It can be quite illuminating to see what keywords drove visitors to your website.
This leads me to my ‘What The Frak!” moment: I have discovered someone found my blog via a keyword search of “George Galloway Shirtless”.
A mental visual that lingers like a bad burrito.
I’m still in mystification as to why MidnightBlue could in anyway be linked to a shirtless Galloway?
WHAT THE FRAK????
Wow! Looks like my comment has drawn the most votes on Flopping Aces recent ‘Caption This’ contest celebrating their millionth visitor milestone. YEAH!!
I’m looking forward to modeling the T-shirt while sipping latte from my new mug and cuddling up with the guys from Flopping Aces. Stay tuned for photos!
Seriously, I can’t imagine a woman in a greater need of face-lift therapy as Hilary. However, scalpels and botox will never disguise her socialist core.
Again, my thanks to the fabulously talented investigative bloggers over at Flopping Aces - you are my inspiration.
UPDATE: Upon reflection of my initial comments, I feel the need to amend my comments to include Madame Pelosi as a close second, immediately followed by Babs Boxer.
Today a milestone has been reached at Flopping Aces.
According to FA:
Well, we’ve hit the one millionth mark! It happened at 10:20:55am PST from a Navy Base account: gate5-sandiego.nmci.navy.mil from this IP = 18.104.22.168 The one millionth hit was doing a google image search for Navy SEAL James E. Suh which landed the reader to this post and viewed this image of James.
Congratulations to Curt, Rob, Wordsmith, and Mike for their efforts in achieving this mark.
Even Hillary is impressed….
Look over the descriptions of the following two houses and see if you can tell which belongs to an outspoken environmentalist.
HOUSE # 1:
A 20-room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house all heated by gas. In ONE MONTH ALONE this mansion consumes more energy than the average American household in an ENTIRE YEAR. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400.00 per month. In natural gas alone (which last time we checked was a fossil fuel), this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not in a northern or Midwestern “snow belt,” either. It’s in the South.
HOUSE # 2:
Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every “green” feature current home construction can provide. The house contains only 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on arid high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in winter and cools it in summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas, and it consumes 25% of the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Flowers and shrubs native to the area blend the property into the surrounding rural landscape.
HOUSE # 1 (20 room energy guzzling mansion) is outside of Nashville , Tennessee. It is the abode of that renowned environmentalist (and filmmaker) Al Gore.
HOUSE # 2 (model eco-friendly house) is on a ranch near Crawford , Texas . Also known as “the Texas White House,” it is the private residence of the President of the United States, George W. Bush.
This story came to my attention via email from The American Cowboy – Yubert.
